Electrically mediated skin patch for acne cure

For all those suffering from acne there is a new ray of hope.

Scientists invented a novel high-tech transdermal skin patch that can cure acne , a humiliation considered by many who are affected. Acne affects mainly people in their adolescence and others who has various etiologies.

The patch looks like an ordinary plaster like material and can kill the bacteria Acne vulgaris responsible for the condition by means of an electric discharge mediated through this transmembrane device. The scientists at Oplon, an Israel based scientific discovery company claimed that the treatment is just overnight and has no side effects.

A small experiment showed that it can cure acne and its related spot vanishes in almost three days and also it improves the acne scars surrounding the patch.

The patch has a small mesh membrane which contains the specified material. When the patch comes in contact with the skin, the moisture in skin along with the material creates an electrical field in which the bacteria can’t survive and eventually gets killed.

The patch have the capability to knock on the dead skin and the bacterial debris. It contains azelaic acid which kills the bacteria and salicylic acid which removes the dead skin blocking the follicles for rapid wound healing, the ‘Daily Mail’ reported. The large clinical trial studies are required. The study involves 100 patients who can wear the patch overnight or for six hours and can clearly predict its efficacy. The study results are likely to be in six months. Thus we can hope to get a new lease of life in acne treatment in a few months (most likely, the product will be available in market in two years from now).

The plaster for now is applied to only one spot, but the scientists are considering making a pad of the material which can be cut in different sizes and can be used as per the user needs.

Natural acne remedies

Natural remedies for acne can help to prevent future acne from developing while treating existing acne. Some natural remedies will treat specific aspects of your acne condition while others work as an all-around preventative for the future.

These treatments are generally safer than harsh chemical medications and typically cost far less than traditional over-the-counter products. All acne remedies must either eliminate clogged pores or treat bacterial infections in order to be effective.

The reason for all acne is clogged pores, but there are many triggers that can lead to acne. Triggers include contact with oily substances, hormone fluctuations, vitamin deficiency, and many others. When possible, it is better to treat the trigger in order to prevent acne.

For example, pores will swell and cause skin cells and oils to become trapped inside, which may lead to acne. A natural remedy against this trigger will include ingredients that work to eliminate swelling. Alternatively, large pores make it easy for skin cells from the surface of the skin to fall into pores and cause a clog. A natural remedy that reduces pore size may eliminate new breakouts.

There are plenty of ways for pores to become clogged, but clogging is the ultimate trigger for infection and acne. Excess oil production can cause pores to become sticky, trapping skin cells inside. When this happens, it is best to treat the problem with a natural remedy that will reduce oil production. Oil production may increase as a result of hormone fluctuations, so internal remedies that work to improve metabolism balance may work best when this happens. (This type of acne generally occurs during times of high stress, menstruation, puberty, and pregnancy or perimenopause.)

Accumulated dead skin cells may clog pores by blocking the top of the pore. The result may be white heads that are difficult to eliminate. A good natural remedy for this type acne will involve helping the skin to shed old skin cells. Blackheads are caused by the accumulation of oil, but there is no ‘cap’ of skin cells on top. A natural remedy for blackhead acne will consist of ingredients that break up the oil and clear the pore. To prevent blackheads, remedies will need to attack the problem of oil accumulation in the pore.

Below, we will share a few of the most effective natural remedies for getting rid of your pimples. For a complete guide to constructing your own natural acne remedy plan, we recommend Acne No More, which you can get by clicking here.

Some Effective Natural Remedies for Acne

Depending on the trigger, natural acne remedies can do much to help with existing acne and prevent acne in the future. If you are unsure of the specific trigger for your acne, the best approach is to ensure the three catalysts for acne are addressed. These are oil, skin cells, and bacteria. Simply washing, exfoliating, and moisturizing twice a day can eliminate most common acne.

Choose your cleanser, exfoliator, and moisturizer based on your skin type. Many natural remedies can assist in this process. Honey and oats, for example, can be mixed to create a natural remedy for acne caused by dead skin cells that accumulate on the skin. Lemon juice and sugar may also work to exfoliate skin. Lemon juice is also a natural astringent that will eliminate oil and can help eliminate bacteria, so a lemon juice scrub can significantly reduce the opportunity for bacterial infection to develop.

Jojoba oil and argan oils can be used in place of over the counter moisturizers that contain harsh chemicals. These two oils are commonly found in all sorts of cosmetic products because they are known to replace skin’s own oil (sebum) without causing new acne to develop. Jojoba oil specifically is used as a natural remedy for all sorts of skin and oil problems. Closer to a wax than oil, jojoba oil is very much like skin’s sebum and may trick skin into producing less oil.

Once acne develops, tailor your natural acne remedy to meet the needs of your situation. For example, if your acne is caused by swollen pores, aloe vera can help reduce the swelling while soothing the irritation that caused the pore to become inflamed. If you have chin acne that is caused by contact with an oily phone receiver, be sure to clean the phone often to prevent contact dermatitis. Likewise, if your acne develops when your skin is oily, try replacing skin oil with a natural acne remedy made of jojoba oil.

Throughout the pages of this site, you will find many natural remedies for acne that attack the core problems that can lead to acne. It is important to keep in mind that not all skin types respond the same and that severe acne should be monitored by a doctor due to infection risk. Always give natural acne remedies up to eight weeks to really work and monitor your skin for any persistent swelling or dryness.

This is the highest concentration allowed for non prescription acne medicine. Persa Gel is water based, so it works for all skin types. This is a very popular acne cream; you can find it in any chemist shop.

Blemish Double Agent Treatment from Biore

This cream is not benzoyl peroxide based; instead it protects your skin from acne by sealing in salicylic acid. It also keeps out the dirt to prevent farther inflammation. Oxy 10 Balance Emergency Spot Treatment

This is a very strong acne cream that will cure the worst of acne. However, use it with care; it only should be used to cure existing acne, not as a preventive method. It also might irritate sensitive skin, so if you applied Oxy 10 and your skin feels irritated, this product is not for you.

Clinique Acne Solutions Concealing Cream

This cream belongs to the same line of Acne Solutions by Clinique as the gel mentioned before. This is not a medicine as such, but a make up item. Everybody who has acne knows that finding the right make up to hide it is a problem. Most foundations and concealers only make your acne worse. In contrast Acne Solutions Consealing Cream is specifically formulated for acne affected skin. It heals acne as well as hides it. If you use make up for acne, this cream works very well to conseal blemishes. But like all Clinique products it is not cheap.

Natural hearbal acne creams

You would be surprized but you can make some effective natural acne creams at home. One effective treatment is a mix of banana, avocado and vitamin E ointment. You can buy vitamin E concentrated cream in a chemist or order it online. To make the cream take half a tea spoon of vitamin E ointment, one small avocado and half a banana and blend them in a blender. Apply this acne remedy to your face and keep for several minutes.

Natural acne remedies work very well for some people. The only disadvantage is that you can not store them like you would do with a bought cream. For example banana and avocado cream can stay in your fredge for a day, but not much longer.

A word of caution

Acne creams are effective in getting rid of acne, but most of them have the same drawback. It makes your skin very sensative to sunlight. So when you use an acne control cream, use a good sunblock cream as well.

If you decided to get rid of your acne try some of the acne creams we reviewed. Instead of squeezing and pinching your pimples, apply an acne cream treatment once a day for at least a week. You will see how much better your skin will look.
